On Monday, July 25, 2016, at approximately 9:00am an Engine Company with the Cy-Fair
Volunteer Fire Department were at the What-A-Burger at Highway 6 and West Road, in line
attempting to order breakfast. Two (2) assailants, with guns drawn, held the occupants and robbed
the registers; while a third person waited inside their vehicle. Within a few moments, the suspects
ran out of the restaurant and got in to a late model, dark blue Toyota Camry with an undisclosed
amount of money.
The CFVFD is currently working with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office to assist in any way they
can to bring these suspects in to custody. No members of the Engine Company, or public, were
injured or hurt in this event. If you have any information about this event, please contact the Harris
County Sheriff’s Office TIPS Line at: 713-222-TIPS.
We ask that all fire departments in the Houston area to please keep your “head on a swivel” and
maintain Situational Awareness. Please be careful of your surroundings, and if and when you feel
uneasy, please call for back-up.
